Experience Hundertwasser's Printmaking Yourself
In the Kunstforum Hundertwasser Lindau, this intaglio workshop combines focused artwork observation with personal creative work. After a joint tour through the exhibition The Art of Diversity – Friedensreich Hundertwasser, artist Helen Fellner introduces the fascinating world of drypoint engraving.
Between Original Prints and One's Own Imprint
The exhibition opens a color-intensive view of Hundertwasser's graphic works. Lithography, screen printing, etching, photo-lithography, embossing, and fluorescent colors show how consistently the artist expanded classical techniques. Printing blocks, design plates, test prints, and handwritten notes make the creation of his works comprehensible.
Drypoint Engraving with Personal Expression
In the print workshop, the focus is on personal experimentation. Inspired by Hundertwasser's organic forms, vibrant color worlds, and experimental imagery, participants develop individual prints. The processing of the printing plate, the application of color, and the moment of pulling the print create an immediate aesthetic experience, where each work acquires its own character.
Cultural Education in a Small Group
With six to twelve people, the workshop offers an intensive exhibition atmosphere and space for personal questions. No prior knowledge is required. The combination of guided tour, art historical context, and practical workshop work makes the format a vivid art experience for all who want to not only observe printmaking but also understand its material and technical possibilities.
What You Should Bring
For practical work, an apron is recommended. A portfolio is suitable for safely transporting the prints created. The workshop takes place at Kunstforum Hundertwasser at Maximilianstraße 52 in Lindau.
