We were four on December 27, 2025, at Casino Bregenz. Long queue in the cold outside the casino due to registration processes and guests constantly cutting in line. Inside the casino, there’s NO dress code anymore even though the website states a minimum dress code. It’s not enforced at all, even though 3 or 4 porters/floor managers are standing at the entrance watching the waiting guests. It looks more like the porters are just there for decoration. Because EVERYONE is let in. And I mean EVERYONE. Jeans, worn-out sneakers, hoodies, wrinkled sweatshirts... it’s a total joke, a level like in a Löwenplay or Novoline slot machine casino around the corner. Men who actually come in suits have become very rare. Only the ladies, who at least dress with style (most of them, anyway). So regarding the dress code, especially for men, Casino Bregenz really needs to step up and enforce it more strictly. Because the casino flair and charm are completely lost. I understand that survival for casinos has become difficult and they want to generate as many guests as possible, but this is very thin ice leading to an ordinary, low-level slot machine casino at the train station corner. Another point is the overcrowded roulette tables, which ruin a nice gaming experience and sometimes you can't even get to play. It wouldn’t hurt to sacrifice some slot machine space for more roulette tables, at least for the weekends. I don’t know if I’ll visit the casino again, and if I do, definitely not on Saturdays.

Unfortunately, I have to share a negative experience today that I find incomprehensible – especially in a place that wants to stand for exclusivity and quality. Upon entering the casino, we were asked to hand over our hats. I was wearing a handmade cap from the brand Neubarth worth nearly 400 euros. Additionally, this hat holds a high emotional value for me, as it has fabric pieces from my deceased grandmother's curtains sewn into the inside. I politely asked if I could keep the hat in my hand. However, this request was denied, and I reluctantly handed the hat over at the cloakroom. After the casino visit, we retrieved our jackets and hats. To my shock, the staff member pulled my hat from a drawer that contained four to five other hats – all visibly squished together. Among them were also delicate headpieces like a top hat. My hat was severely deformed afterward: the brim is pressed in and permanently damaged. Additionally, there were stains on the top. While these might be cleanable, the damaged shape cannot be restored. To make it wearable again, the brim would need to be completely reworked. I cannot understand how hats of guests are stored so improperly in a casino of this level. Regardless of the material value, personal items should be handled with care – especially when guests are forced to hand them over. Hats should simply not be squished together in a drawer. After about 15 minutes of waiting, I spoke with a manager who did apologize but suggested that I bring only the cleaning costs on my next visit. This offer is unacceptable to me, as the hat has become unusable due to improper storage, and the damage goes far beyond just cleaning. This experience is particularly disappointing for me, as I have been a regular guest for the last five years and have spent a six-figure amount in the casino overall. This incident has permanently damaged my trust and unfortunately represents a clear reason for me not to visit the casino in the future.

I was at the casino again yesterday after a long time, and I have to say I didn't like it anymore. Around 9 PM, we waited forever outside in the cold, very long lines, until we finally got in, and it wasn't even full inside. The service from the waiters is lacking; you have to walk to the bar yourself to say you’d like to order at the table. And the same when you want to pay. Very inattentive waiters. What surprised me the most is what happened to the elegant dress code; in the past, you had to adhere to a certain dress code, and that was a good thing. Today, they let people in with jogging outfits, and the casino has lost its special shine because of that. And lastly, I had to wait a good 20 minutes to get my jacket back. This was definitely my last visit to the casino for a long time.

The old days when there was even a waterfall at the entrance are long gone; today there are turnstiles that remind me of hooligans. This proves that not the most decent people are hanging around here. Luckily, there’s a nice guy at the entrance, born in 2005, otherwise, you get treated condescendingly from all sides, starting with the boss who was there on Saturday, November 15. Almost no waiter speaks German, maybe that saves money. The croupiers have nothing of French charm, and if you guess the drawn number, you get looked at sideways and treated very unfriendly, even if they had to pay out of their own pockets. The croupier with the black beard, corpulent and long-time employee at this casino, I have never seen him laugh, a true bummer, what a shame.
