EIL.GUT.HALLE | Weddings & Events Lindau
Directly at the harbor of Lindau, where Lake Constance sparkles and the Vorarlberg Alps form the backdrop, lies the EIL.GUT.HALLE – a stylish event location with maritime flair, a pavilion, an upper floor with a rooftop terrace, and a special showroom of rare vehicles. Those who celebrate here benefit from short distances: The island train station is just a few minutes' walk away, and parking options are available at the harbor or on the island with marked alternatives. Since January 1, 2025, the venue has fully focused on events for private and corporate clients as well as its own event formats; the previous à-la-carte operation has been discontinued. This creates maximum planning reliability for weddings, anniversaries, business dinners, and creative product presentations – with individual menu design, reliable capacities per room, and an atmosphere that is particularly impressive in the evening at sunset. Additionally, the beer garden opens in the warm season in nice weather and offers a regional, vegetarian, and vegan selection. Those looking for an event location with a lake view, good accessibility, and unique photo opportunities will find a place here where enjoyment, hospitality, and design come together.
Weddings and Individual Events at the Harbor: Rooms, Capacities, Style
For weddings, birthdays, family celebrations, or corporate events, several areas are available in the EIL.GUT.HALLE that can be sensibly combined in size, character, and view. The pavilion is a light-flooded glass building with a view of the harbor and is particularly suitable for outdoor ceremonies, elegant receptions, or a dinner in a smaller to medium setting. The upper floor features a restaurant area with its own bar and an adjacent rooftop terrace – an ideal place for champagne receptions with panoramic views of the lighthouse, lake, and mountains. The ground floor offers plenty of space for banquets and can be harmoniously combined with the pavilion; this creates a seamless transition between the interior and the happenings at the harbor's edge. Official capacity information provides reliable orientation: The upper floor encompasses about 120 m² and allows banquets for up to around 80 people, standing receptions for about 100 people; the rooftop terrace can additionally accommodate around 50 people. The setting of the restaurant and pavilion together forms about 370 m² and allows banquet seating for up to approximately 230 guests. Other reference values provided by the local tourism information include EG 230 m² (approx. 90–180 people), OG 120 m² (approx. 63–126 people), and pavilion 140 m² (approx. 63–116 people). For product presentations or in-house trade fairs, a generous exhibition space is also available; in total, presentation areas of several hundred square meters are feasible, including the option to book the entire location exclusively. This makes the EIL.GUT.HALLE suitable not only for classic celebrations but also for new event formats – from show cookings and tastings to press events and driving events, for which the surroundings with their routes through the tri-border area offer additional attractions. The team closely accompanies the planning and relies on a variable gastronomy concept: Menus are curated according to occasion, season, and budget; processes such as reception, dinner, and party can be assembled modularly, ensuring that the evening flows dramatically. Last but not least, the architecture makes it special: The combination of historical hall character, glass, steel, and visual references to the water gives photos and videos a high-quality, timeless aesthetic.
Opening Hours, Season, and Culinary Concept from 2025
With the beginning of 2025, the EIL.GUT.HALLE has sharpened its focus: Instead of daily à-la-carte restaurant operations, the emphasis is now entirely on events – both on individually booked celebrations and on in-house event series. For hosts, this means more flexibility in choosing dates (even during the week) and the possibility to tailor menus, service processes, and technology precisely to the occasion. Those wishing to celebrate in a small circle can book individually from 10 people; the team plans breakfasts, brunches, lunches, coffee and cake, as well as dinner menus. A seasonal highlight is the beer garden, which opens in nice weather from April. Here, classics of beer garden culture, specialties from the tri-border area, and vegetarian and vegan options are served – fitting for the location in the fresh lake air and the relaxed harbor flair. For events that fall into the warm season, the beer garden is a welcome addition to the pavilion or the indoor spaces: reception in the open air, casual wind-downs in the evening, or intermediate stops between program segments. In the cooler season, the indoor spaces ensure weather independence and allow clear dramaturgies from reception to dinner to party. Important for planning: Since the location has fully focused on events since 2025, there is no daily menu in the traditional sense; instead, menus and buffets are individually tailored for each celebration, making the integration of regional products and seasonal themes particularly easy. If an event is to be vegetarian or vegan, the team can develop corresponding menus. Additionally, due to the scheduling flexibility, special desired dates – from civil ceremonies to corporate anniversaries – can often be realized better than in a rigid restaurant operation.
Beer Garden, Menu Ideas, and Moments of Enjoyment with Lake View
The beer garden of the EIL.GUT.HALLE is one of the most charismatic corners at the Lindau harbor: sunny location, with direct views of Lake Constance and the mountain range to the south. From April – always depending on the weather – regional specialties, vegetarian and vegan dishes, as well as classics of beer garden culture are served here. For event guests, the outdoor area offers numerous possibilities. A summer reception outdoors creates immediate closeness, eases the nerves before the official part, and provides photographically appealing moments. Those planning a seated dinner can use the beer garden as a kickoff or break area; in casual formats, the entire evening can be anchored in the outdoor area and moved to the pavilion or indoor spaces in case of weather changes. In menu planning, seasonal references are a strength: asparagus or wild garlic accents in spring, Mediterranean flavors in summer, mushrooms and roots in autumn – always with room for personal favorite dishes and dietary preferences. For corporate events, the culinary staging as part of the brand is worthwhile: signature drinks in corporate design, thematic stations, or flying concepts that promote interaction. The nearby lake also shapes the atmosphere: sounds of shipping, seagulls, the light of the setting sun – ingredients that enhance the culinary moment. For children or family celebrations, flexible portion sizes and child-friendly variants are easily possible. Those planning in winter focus on warm light, candles, red accents, and the upper floor with rooftop terrace as a retreat for quiet conversations. In any case, it applies: the kitchen works event-oriented; instead of a fixed daily menu, menus and buffet sequences are created that emphasize the character of the celebration and narrate the region's flavors.
Directions, Parking, and Mobility: How Guests Arrive Relaxed
The EIL.GUT.HALLE scores with a location that is optimally accessible by train, car, ship, and even on foot. Those arriving by train get off at the Lindau island station and reach the location in about five minutes on foot – the historic lighthouse at the harbor indicates the direction. For arrival by car, it is advisable to follow the signage Lindau-Island/Main Station; drive to the harbor edge and then turn right towards the paid DB parking lot (limited capacity). Alternatively, the marked lake parking lot P5 is available on the island; from there, the island circular path leads to the harbor in about ten minutes. Additionally, the city of Lindau generally recommends the Park & Ride principle at the P1 and P2 lots on the mainland; a city bus connects them in regular service to the island. The parking space management in Lindau is continuously modernized; barrier-free systems with license plate recognition and payment options at the machine or via mobile payment are being expanded, making arrival and departure easier for guests. For international arrivals, several airports are conveniently located: Friedrichshafen and Memmingen are nearby, while Zurich and Munich offer large international connections; from there, depending on preference, one can travel by train, car, or – in the last section – by scheduled boat to Lindau. Guests arriving by boat use the docks of Lake Constance shipping or guest spots in the harbor and walk the remaining minutes on foot. Important for hosts: It is advisable to clearly state the respective options on invitations (train/bus, P5 or DB parking lot, city bus lines), describe meeting points at the harbor clearly, and communicate a coordinated arrival logistics for events with a high number of participants (e.g., time slots, shuttle). This way, participants arrive relaxed and on time – and can already enjoy the first moments by the water.
Photos, Showroom, and Atmosphere: Motifs That Stay in Memory
In addition to the lake view, it is the showroom with rare vintage and new vehicles that gives the EIL.GUT.HALLE a distinctive note. The combination of automotive technology, table culture, and enjoyment does not come across as forced but underscores the contemporary design of the historic hall building. For wedding photographers, content teams, or press images, the interplay of clear lines, glass surfaces, and selected vehicles offers strong perspectives and reflections – ideal for emphasizing the elegance and dynamism of an event. The pavilion, with its transparency, captures the interplay of light from afternoon to twilight; the rooftop terrace on the upper floor opens the view of the lighthouse, lake, and Alps, making group photos and toasts outdoors successful. Those presenting products can consciously integrate the exhibition into the story: vehicles as eye-catchers, information stations along a tour, tasting islands between exhibits. The hall also offers interesting acoustic solutions: reception music in the pavilion, speeches on the upper floor with bar, later switching to the dance floor on the ground floor – creating zones that function in parallel without disturbing each other. For guests, the atmosphere means: a well-staged evening that remains consistent from the first impression to the farewell. Practically, indoor and outdoor areas can be flexibly linked: in good weather, the beer garden becomes an extended living room; in case of weather changes, sufficient indoor options are available. All of this makes the EIL.GUT.HALLE a place where motifs are practically created – an advantage for couples, companies, and PR teams needing image material for social media, websites, and press kits.
New Year's Eve, In-House Events, and Program Notes
Since the EIL.GUT.HALLE no longer offers daily à-la-carte times since 2025 and instead consistently focuses on events, the annual program is published curated. This can include in-house events such as themed evenings, tastings, or music formats, as well as seasonal highlights in the outdoor area. New Year's Eve events are planned and communicated individually depending on the respective year; the location at the harbor, the paths to the train station and docks, and the option to combine indoor and outdoor areas make the venue particularly attractive for New Year's celebrations. For organizers and couples, early date coordination is recommended – especially for popular dates in the warm season or around the turn of the year. Those seeking the planning security of an exclusive booking can reserve the entire location with its levels and the pavilion; for smaller celebrations from 10 people, individually compiled menus are available, ensuring that even intimate formats – engagement, corporate closure, family & friends – find a suitable setting. Throughout the year, the beer garden opens in nice weather from April; here, pre- or after-events with a view of the lake can be integrated. For companies with a product focus, the EIL.GUT.HALLE offers, in addition to classic conference technology, the advantage that presentation areas and showroom motifs are inherently part of the staging – particularly helpful when image and video content plays a central role. Thanks to the short distances, guests remain mobile: by train, bus, boat, or on foot, arrival is uncomplicated, and those arriving by car find coordinated parking solutions on the island and mainland with bus connections. This creates a program arc that is sustainable throughout the year – from summer weddings to festive winter galas.

We celebrated a fantastic birthday party here in November. Sensational location (we were in the pavilion and could have the reception in the exhibition). The food (selection, presentation at the buffet, and quality) was great, just like the service (extremely attentive and they stayed until after 3 AM). I could express wishes at any time (even at short notice) and it was so heartwarming to see how joyfully the entire eil.gut.halle team fulfilled those wishes. The Lindau fair was a charming light spectacle that further enhanced the atmosphere with a view of the lake and harbor. My 40 guests loved it! THANK YOU!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely recommendable! I was at the 80s party at Eil.Gut.Halle in Lindau yesterday and I’m completely thrilled! The atmosphere was fantastic from the start – great music, awesome light effects, cool decor, and a crowd that was really into partying. Special shoutout to the amazing DJ "Wild Bests" who left no wishes unfulfilled and was the life of the party!! He played a perfect mix of real classics and party hits, so everyone had a great time. I’ve rarely experienced such a successful time travel to that iconic decade! Big compliments to the whole team – and with that fantastic DJ, I will definitely be back! 🎉🕺💃 Cheers, Äxxiiiii

An absolute highlight in Lindau! This restaurant impressed me from start to finish. The breathtaking vintage car setting creates a unique atmosphere that you won't forget quickly. The modern design of the restaurant is simply stunning and showcases a successful combination of elegance and style. But not only the ambiance, the kitchen also completely convinced me. The dishes are of the highest quality and reflect the creativity and passion of the kitchen team. It’s a true joy to taste these culinary masterpieces. Every bite is a taste experience at the highest level. The service is also top-notch. The staff is extremely friendly, attentive, and always eager to provide guests with an unforgettable evening. The entire experience at the restaurant was positive from start to finish and completely thrilled me. If you’re looking for a place that not only impresses with exquisite food but also with a unique atmosphere, then this restaurant is definitely the right choice. I can only highly recommend it and I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

Very nice ambiance. The service was friendly and always prompt. Prices are elevated but correspond to the quality and location. The dishes were very tasty. Drinks were well recommended and served in a timely manner. We will probably eat here again during our vacation.

The restaurant is located right on the shore and you can enjoy the view of the beautiful Lake Constance. The staff was very friendly and the food was simply delicious! Best asparagus I've ever had! The premises are stylishly furnished and the car exhibition makes the visit even more attractive.
